It was nice to get a break in the clouds and have another observing session in the dome. This was likely the final one for 2005 as weather predictions for tomorrow (New Year's Eve) are not very promising. And if it does clear, there is a good chance that some of us will head South for a dark sky site.
It's been a great year astronomically speaking for me. From my observing log I note that I had 62 evenings of observing in the dome. Most of them went well, a couple of frustrating nights (primarily related to mount issues and imaging troubles). I still need to add up the total time but I'm pleased that it's getting more use than in years past.
Maybe I'll post a blog on New Year's with some astronomy resolutions.
