I'm spending some time working on equipment this evening. I opened up the declination motor to examine it, and found a loose screw inside. No damage but I'm glad I noticed it since it might have eventually caused problems in the worm gear. I also noted the small size of the clutch assembly, I think I might acquire a kit from Peterson Engineering to increase the size.
I also installed a counterweight on the left fork to balance the R.A. better. It had been way off and this may have contributed to some of the tracking problems I've experienced when CCD imaging.
Vega was my realignment star since I had to shut down to perform the above.
I always enjoy being out here in the quiet of the night. So much better than being inside watching tv.
