Here's a photo of Larry and I getting ready for last night's stargazing adventure. A few moments after this picture was taken, lights out rules were in effect and the whole ranch was dark except for red astronomer lights everywhere. Those of us using laptops covered our screens with red acrylic. It's really a beautiful sight seeing the quiet concentration of telescopes and astronomers huddled over their charts at a star party. I highly recommend it for anyone.
This afternoon there will be a swap meet and a couple of lectures. The weather report for this evening is not too promising but they haven't exactly been accurate all week, so I'll hold out some hope. Right now it's partly cloudy.
