Here's the preliminary of the Veil Nebula that I took under the full moon last night. I used a 4" refractor at f/5.6 with narrowband filters in the CCD; the CFHT color pallette was used (H-a=Red, OIII=Green, SII=Blue).
The Veil is actually a huge complex, far too big for one field; maybe I will obtain more data and make a mosaic at some point. This portion is only a small amount of the Veil, known as NGC 6960.
It's partly cloudy tonight. I had considered trying to do some observing tonight but decided to get some rest instead.
